My name is Tymeesa –and I’m young, gifted and black.

Why did I start blogging ?

I started blogging because I wanted to get a jump start in my career field — fashion and entertainment.  I also didn’t see any African American young women speaking about fashion and entertainment in the Bay Area. So, I took the opportunity to speak about the issues that I care about most.

How long have I been blogging ?

I started blogging on January 2010. But, the idea of blogging and the concept of this blog was birthed in late 2009. I was super depressed at school because I was majoring in Nursing which wasn’t my passion. I would constantly find myself on gossip blogs and chatting about entertainment. But, with the recession I figured I needed a solid career. My friends and Mills sisters convinced me to start blogging. So, I gave it a try. What could I lose ?

How old am I  ?

I am 20 years old. I turn 21-years old on March 14th.

Am I  in college ? If so, what school.

I attend Mills College in East Oakland, California.

What’s my major ?

My major is Political, Legal and Economic Analysis with an emphasis in Economics. My minor is journalism.

What do I do  when your not blogging, writing, reporting or doing homework?

Well, since I am almost always grinding. I have to say that in my spare time I love to dress up in pumps and shorts and dance around my room to Beyonce’s Sweet Dreams. I also love a good read — Essence, Ebony, Oprah or an inspirational book.

What’s my blog about ?

It is about fashion, music, fashion, music, events,sexy eye-candy, inspiration, hop, LOVE, fashion, music and repeat this list. Oh, and the adventures of an overly ambitious college woman who happens to be a GLOBAL CALIFORNIAN.
