Priceless Inspiration: Antonia” Toya” Carter

Ex-wives of rappers, athletes or actors can sometimes get negative attention.

I always wondered what rapper Lil’ Wayne’s ex-wife looked like.

In June of 2009, B.E.T. premiered Tiny&Toya, a show that followed the lives of Tameka” Tiny” Cottle and Antonia “Toya” Carter as they dealt with living in Black Hollywood as hip-hop royalty.

Episode to episode, I was glued to what the two were doing for their families as well as their communities. I’ll admit, I thought it would be a bunch of foolishness but I was wrong. To my surprise, I ended up liking Antonia ” Toya” Carter. Toya was humble, family-oriented and working on becoming a better role -model for young girls of color in America.

To find out more about Toya, her success and finding new love……

Through watching Tiny&Toya’s show ( season 1&2) I learned that  Toya wanted to own a boutique, write a book, style artists, find love and be a fabulous mom.

I am happy that she has done everything on her goal list. She own’s Garb boutique in her hometown of New Orleans, authored Priceless Inspirations, engaged to music producer Memphitz and takes great care of her daughter.

I’m glad to see Ms. Toya doing her thang!

Kudos to her.

  2. Hello Toya,
I have been married for 161/2 years and so grateful and blessed. I am so proud of you for standing boldly in the face of adversity, and for recognizing your strength instead of your weakness while going through your various challenges. You are a great mother, daughter, sister and soon to be wife. My advice to you; continue to love your fame, friends, your fans, and your family, but you must remember to keep your priorities in order. #1 – You, Your husband, and your daughter (this right here will take up most if not all of your time – this is without question priority and lots of dedication and work).. When you marry, there is no more taking care of grown folks, but supporting when you can and having gatherings as often as you all decide, but NOTHING, I REPEAT, LET NOTHING – NO REALITY SHOW, NOTHING stand in the way of the privacy of YOU, YOUR HUSBAND, and YOUR DAUGHTER. I BEG YOU SISTER….I’ve seen so many beautiful marriages get screwed up by this sucky media and by drama kings and queens. It is not worth it. I’ve enjoyed your reality show, but in my opinion and in my prayers and for the sake of your families privacy and longevity, please don’t allow fame/media/etc. to destroy your beautiful life. The reality show is not more genuine than the beautiful marriage that you are about to have and your daughter. Don’t allow anyone to take your time away from your husband and your daughter – not even friends. Don’t allow anyone to move in your house – NO ONE – neither male nor female. You pray for your husband, be there for him when he needs you. He and your daughter come first, and I am sure they will be there for you. You and Memphitz remind me so much of my husband and I. The reason why we’ve been together for so long is because of our oneness – we don’t allow anyone or anything come between what we believe in. There is so much more that I want to share with you. You are such a sweet young lady and you’re on the right track. You are young, giving, and extremely busy. I pray that you stay focused and in tune with God. My husband and I will be praying for your family.
