As I sat at the table adorned with fancy utensils and flowers with 4 amazing Mills journalist. I could only think about how blessed I’ve been to be in a room full of excellence and be with a winning team.
The California College Media Awards, an award ceremony celebrating excellence amongst student journalists was interesting. I was happy to be in a room with the best universities on the west coast like UCLA, UCB, USC and more. But throughout Day 3, I learned that you need to be your best and live your dreams now! Don’t wait. That seemed to be a theme within sessions like Getting the Real story, What it takes to be a columnist,Getting the story from anybody and the secrets to building an online audience.

Within the 2nd day of the ACP conference, I went from listening to the West Coast Editor of People.com about the Charlie Sheen scandal to the set of Style network’s How do I look? You can’t get more Hollywood Access than that within 24 hours at a conference.

So, this is my grand dilemna. I really like fur —especially since I will live in New York City one day. But, is wearing fur totally wrong because of animals.
