Bay Fashionista : Toshay of In My Perfect World blog

My dear friend Toshay, of In My Pefect World blog, is definitely a fashionista.

Toshay was recently inspired by R&B singer Solange, to rock long braids. Her braids along with vintage top make for an amazing photo.

Make-up is flawless, the lipstick color  is bold, polka dotted tights, sparkly pumps and a fierce pose.

By the way, this was for Halloween 2010. Toshay is uber creative.

As I researched hottie DeSean Jackson, I realized how much of a good guy he was.

Episode to episode, I was glued to what the two were doing for their families as well as their communities. I’ll admit, I thought it would be a bunch of foolishness but I was wrong. To my surprise, I ended up liking Antonia ” Toya” Carter. Toya was humble, family-oriented and working on becoming a better role -model for young girls of color in America.

Friendships are beautiful

Photo taken from @AntoniaCarter

Tiny and Toya have one of the best friendships in Black Hollywood. I admire how they support one another. Many times in Hollywood, images of black women getting along peacefully and in solidarity is rare. Especially, if the black women are of different skin tones or shades.

Whenever, I see women of color working toward a common goal. I become elated.
