OMG! I miss style and music blogging

Hello Style lovers!

I have truly missed writing on my personal music and style blog. My last blog post was a little over a year ago and so much has changed. I have worked in high end retail, gained a clientele, gained new friendships, mentorships and new experiences. But, one thing was missing over the past year. I have missed writing about STYLE and new MUSIC.

Since, I took a break from blogging I have done a few things like: earned my Economic and Journalism degree, gained  experience in management at high end luxury boutiques and partied hard.

I am back now to share all of my cool findings, experiences, music, style tips and more.

** Sidenote: I am wearing a pink mesh polka dot dress from Bebe Inc. It’s very fun, sexy and sophisticated.

Fashionably,

Ty

IGGY AZALEA at SF’s 330 RITCH

Rapper Iggy Azalea showin’ the crowd her rap skills

Iggy throwin’ dollars at the crowd

On Thursday January 29, 2012, Interscope Rapper Iggy Azalea performed for the first time at San Francisco’s 330 Ritch club. The rapper has a big buzz that brought out her fANS (Azaleans) as well as some popular musicians in the Bay Area.  One of whom is a XXL 2012 freshman candidate, Erk Tha Jerk, alongside Iggy.

As a somewhat music insider, I’ve known of Iggy for 6 months, have listened to her debut mixtape Ignorant Art and wanted to see her live show.

Kanye West debuts clothing line “DW” for Spring ’12

Kanye, could have came harder.

This past weekend, (which seems like years ago on this thing called the internet )— Kanye West debuted his women’s fashion line DW for Spring 2012 in Paris, France.

Ye’ had a celeb filled show — The Olsen twins, Ciara, Tameka Raymond, Jared Leto, Lindsey Lohan, Vogue fashion editor Ana Wintour and so many others in the audience at his show.  Ye’ brought out all the stars as if it were an all-star audience for one of his shows at Madison Square Garden with fellow rapper Jay-Z.

I am an avid Yeezy supporter. I love everything this man does —everything. Yes, I even loved the Taylor Swift moment— he helped her career!

My feelings on the looks —simple, chic, wearable and not amazing. I would have hoped that he would have had more of a theme to his line and bright colors for Spring. Ye’ has an extreme personality and style so I wanted the line to dispay that. Instead, I saw nudes, whites, sweaters, fur and beads. The custom Giuseppe shoes were the bomb.com.

Hip- Hop Fashion Icon: Tupac Shakur

Tupac Shakur.

A  great American poet, actor, activist, son of a Black Panther and a fashion icon.

I miss him.

In his memory, I have dedicated this post to a few of his classic style looks.

The photo represents a kind of innocence while being utterly sexy. This is one of the many times that Pac shows off his body art and wears it as fashion. Of course, he displays his love for large gold rings. He also wears his fashion “go to” item which is the navy blue or black bandana twisted to the front.
