Lessons from a LOVE
Accept a person for who they are, in this very moment and not who they may become.
Trust the actions of your partner.
Trust your heart.
Know that what is meant to be will be. There is nothing that can change that.
Your relationships are a reflection of you – your love, your self-worth and everything in between.
Love is patient.
Be the change, you want to be.
Unconditional love is essential to life.
Be excited about your life and your partner will be excited as well.
Follow and become your dreams. And, help your partner reach theirs too.
You bring love with you into the relationship. If you don’t bring love into the relationship, how can you expect your partner to bring love into the relationship?
We all need love!
Be vulnerable! Share your thoughts.
Speak in love and nothing else.
Your partner will have bad days.
There is nothing wrong with being in love with someone.
Enjoy the moment! Don’t let the past rob you of love.
Not all guys are the same.
Your partner is a reflection of who you are
Lessons from work
Not everyone will think like you.
The world has not changed because you have changed.
Not everyone has had the privilege of getting to know themselves.
The community you come from still faces the same issues before you left and now have returned.
Many people are unhappy because they wanted to be comfortable and not go the extra mile. That is not your problem!
Your inner support group and circle is important. You need a strong circle of friends and loved ones that are living their dreams and happy!
Be dedicated to becoming a better person – mind, body and soul.
Everyone has a unique perspective – offer your perspective but do not get upset when their perspective is different.
If you want something, let people know, research the position and get a mentor.
If you execute your tasks in an effective and efficient way, take initiative and be pro-active. Opportunities will happen for you.

Lessons from graduation
TRY! You will fail but keep going.
You have made the best friends now while in college.
You must be excited about your own accomplishments and journey.
If someone wants to be a part of your life journey, they will be there. You can not make someone want to be apart of your journey and you don’t want them to be there if they don’t want to be.
History will repeat itself if you allow it.
Your dreams are YOUR dreams.
My four years at Mills College was a very amazing journey to self discovery that many will never understand or experience. I can not expect people to possibly understand my experience except for those that were with me on my journey and have experienced Mills College.
