Netta Brielle, a Berkeley-an who’s talent can be seen and heard throughout the Bay, has recently given fans a visual taste of her latest song.
N-e-t-t-a announced her visual narration for ” Pushin’ Away” via her twitter. Netta B. teamed up with talented Oakland born and raised director Terrance Banks. The collaboration was a perfect example of what happens when talented bay artists come together to create art.
I like the song because it discusses the feelings around having that special person and really wanting them. But, there is no reciprocity. You know that relationship– the one where you “think” everything is peachy cream but in reality the other person isn’t feeling you as much as you are them. It’s a suck -y situation but Netta covers the subject with soft melodies that make you feel like it’s all good.
On that note– I really want to know who the main guy is in the video. The suspense of not seeing his face is killing me. I will just have to wait until I see this next video.
Here’s what Netta had to say about the video:
NettaBrielle I’ve heard a lot about tbanks as a director and I thought it would be dope to give him( T.Banks) opportunity to do more than a “music video”.
NettaBrielle I like to call it a “narrative” or “viral video”…we all played an active role in directing the video. Myself, pk, tbanks, & Chris.
STYLE WATCH : Her yellow watch is too F-A-B !
