Siaira Shawn is a singer-songwriter, who has emerged from the tourist streets of San Francisco or what many Bay natives know as THE CITY.

Siaira joins a newly established roster of female singers – Goapele, Keshia Cole, Netta Brielle, Samm, Jimmie Reign, Flo and DEV. Many of these young women provide the Bay with different sounds and genres to appreciate. Siaira brings a unique sound to the Bay and has carved out her own signature sound. You may have heard her perform at local clubs like Somar, The New Parish, Air Lounge or the Eve lounge. You may have seen her perform at a local high school, a campus like Mills College or a festival.

I am an artist, lover , an advocate, family, friend, mentor, someone who acts and speaks with passion, intention, love and levity.

How long have you been singing ?

Since I was little. Singing, acting and getting into everything.

How would you describe your sound ?

It’s clarity, soulful, familiar yet different. You will get quality and truth.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years ?

I want to be touring, working on multiple projects. Being a full artist : actor, fashion, production. I want my artistry to keep evolving and to create change in the world.

Who are some of your musical influences?

The list is always so long becuase everything and everyone influences me. Really great vocalist, songwriters and arrangers. Stevie Wonder, Prince, Michael Jackson, Donny Hathoway, Radiohead, Beyonce, Jill Scott, Minnie Riperton, Nina Simone and John Legend.
